This place is a zoo. It's the size of a casino on the strip, but filled with lowlifes like myself. Children were running around everywhere. It's the closet Casino to LA (non-card room) and so all of the Moron(s) go there to save $5 in gas it would take to go to the nicer places in Palm Springs. Another Tiger 9 Pai Gow table! Is this a common thing I'm unaware of, or just a California Indian Casino Rip-Off? My winning streak was interrupted here as I pushed 2 pai gow hands in a row, and took off, just a couple of bucks down from the Progressive and Fortune bets. Won a few bucks in the free slot play, so I paid full price for these chips. A new rack, but already dirty from constant use.

I HAVE BEEN TO MISSOULA MONTANA SO MANY TIMES I CANNOT REMEMBER WHICH TRIP THIS ACTUALLY WAS. BUT, THIS TIME I KNOW NANCY WAS WITH ME, I DID SIT DOWN TO PLAY POKER AT THE TABLE I ACTUALLY HARVESTED FROM. IN PAST VISITS I JUST REQUESTED CHIPS FROM THE DEALER OR THE THE FELLOW THAT SPELLED THE DEALER.
SOME OF YOU FOLKS THAT READ THIS LITTLE SHORT STORY, MIGHT KNOW THAT THE SILVERTIP IS ONE OF THE HARDEST CASINOS IN MISSOULA TO FIND, IT IS WAY AWAY FROM THE DOWNTOWN/COLLEGE AREA AND IT IS WAY AWAY FROM THE MAJOR SHOPPING AREAS. IT DIDN’T MATTER WHETHER THIS WAS THE FIRST OR THE MOST CURRENT VISIT TO THIS CASINO IT WAS STILL HARD TO GET TO AND TO FIND.
NANCY AND I WALK IN AND SHE IMMEDIATELY SAYS I LIKE THIS PLACE, IT IS NOT A REAL BIG; BUT IT HAD ENOUGH MACHINES TO KEEP HER HAPPY. I SAUNTERED OVER TO THE LITTLE POKER ROOM THAT WAS KIND OF HIDDEN AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE ENTRY WAY. AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, THEY JUST HAPPENED TO HAVE AN OPEN CHAIR. I SAT DOWN AND STARTED SORTING THROUGH CHIPS AND UPGRADING THE ONES AS I SORTED THROUGH THEM, AS USUAL THE CONVERSATION COMES AROUND TO WHAT THE HECK IS DOING? I TOLD THEM I WAS CHIP COLLECTOR, AND THAT I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN NORTHERN MONTANA; YADDA, YADDA, YADDA. THAT DID NOT HELP ME ON THE POKER TABLE, EARLY ON I COULD SEE I WAS OUT CLASSED AS A PLAYER AND AFTER DROPPING A FEW BILLS, I EXCUSED MYSELF AND COLLECTED NANCY AND MADE A VERY HASTY DEPARTURE.
YES, I DID GET ENOUGH CHIPS THAT TRIP TO LAST ME TO THE NEXT TRIP. HOWEVER, I PAID DEARLY FOR THEM…REGGIE

AS YOU MAY HAVE GUESSED; THE STORIES I HAVE BEEN WRITING ARE SOMEWHAT OF AN EGO THING WITH ME. I LIKE TO WRITE; AND MEMORIES OF HARVESTING IS WHAT I LIKE TO WRITE ABOUT.
I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THINK THAT IN SHARING THESE STORIES, THERE MIGHT BE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT YOU MAY NOT OF THOUGHT ABOUT WHILE YOU WERE OUT HARVESTING.
ALL OF THE STORIES CAN NOT BE STELLAR STORIES, AND THEY WILL RANGE FROM “HO-HUM” TO “R U KIDDIN’ ME”. I’M SURE SOME OF YOU WILL FIND SOME OF THEM SLIGHTLY AMUSING AND ENTERTAINING.
SOME OF THE REASONS THAT I ENJOYED HARVESTING IS THE LOCATIONS AND THE GEOGRAPHY. BUT, MOST OF ALL I LOVED THE HISTORY OF THE AREAS I HAD TO GO TO IN FINDING THE CHIPS.
MY TRAVELS HAVE TAKEN ME THROUGH ALL OF THE LOWER 48 STATES. I ALSO TRAVELED TO MANY PROVINCES IN CANADA, MANY OF THE ISLANDS IN THE CARIBBEAN AND PARTS OF EUROPE.
PLEASE KNOW, THAT IN WRITING THESE STORIES; IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES HARVESTING. NOW-A-DAYS MOST OF MY TRAVELING IS DONE BY PLANE OR BOAT.
I AM TRYING TO HAVE A GUEST AUTHOR ON EVERY POST, ALSO. THIS WILL ADD SOME DIFFERENT TWISTS TO THIS FUN HOBBY’S HARVESTING TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS.

SET OF THE DAY
MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.
I AM REDUCING PRICES ON MOST OF THESE SETS, SOME WILL BE FACE VALUE, SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE AND WANT, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IN SENDING ME AN EMAIL, PUTTING A SOLD SIGN ON THE CB IS NOT THE WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PURCHASE OR TRADE. Starting 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.

This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
