The Spa casino is a pretty nice place. A bit higher end than some I visited. They are undergoing an expansion, that I hope will include a new rack of chips, as these are pretty well worn. Slot club got me some Free slot play, don't remember how much. The $15 min Pai Gow table... I won the first hand played, and once again scooted, making the chips harvested cheaper than a cage buy, and a good thing too, considering how worn out they are.

ONCE AGAIN I REFER TO A LONG HARVEST TRIP THAT TOOK IN THE ENTIRE WEEK OF THANKSGIVING. THIS WAS ONE OF MY MORE PRODUCTIVE TRIPS THROUGH THE SOUTHLAND. NANCY AND I HAD LEFT THE AMELIA BELLE RIVER BOAT EARLIER IN THE DAY AND IT WAS RAINING OFF AND ON ALL THE WAY UP TO CHARENTON, LA. WHEN WE GOT THERE WE MARVELED AT THE SIZE OF THIS LITTLE KNOWN CASINO.
IT WAS KNOWN AS THE CYPRESS BAYOU CASINO WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT, BUT THEY HAD ADDED TO IT, AND ADDED TO IT; WAS KIND OF LIKE THE WINCHESTER HOUSE IN SAN JOSE, CA. HUGE SECTIONS ADDED TO IT FROM EVERY DIRECTION. WHICH INCLUDE A HUGE BUS CENTER, NOT JUST THE PARKING AREA FOR BUSES BUT A TERMINAL FOR PASSENGERS AND PEOPLE TO GIVE THEM INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR RETURN TRIPS, ETC.
AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT WE PARKED THE FARTHEST WE COULD OF FROM THE POKER ROOM. AND WE WALKED, AND WE WALKED UNTIL WE FOUND THE POKER ROOM. AND YEAH YOU GUESSED IT I SAT DOWN AFTER A SHORT WAIT AND NANCY HEADED TOWARDS THE KITTY GLITTER SLOTS…LOL.
I GOTTA SAY IT WAS A WELCOME BREAK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY TO SIT IN A FAIRLY TAME HOLDEM GAME. I DID WELL IN THE GAME, SPENT SOME TIME SORTING OUT WHAT I NEEDED AND SINCE THEY HAD BOTH RACKS OF CHIPS ON THE TABLE (CYPRESS BAYOU & SHORTY’S) I HAD TWICE AS MUCH TO SORT. ALONG THE WAY I ASKED THE PIT BOSS WHAT THE RULES WERE ABOUT TAKING SOME CHIPS OFF THE TABLE AND POCKETING THEM. THEY DID NOT HAVE A TROUBLE WITH THAT AS LONG AS I BOUGHT BACK THE SAME AMOUNT OR CLOSE TO IT TO REPLACE THE “HARVESTED CHIPS”, SO I DID AS THE ASK. THIS WAS A GREAT HARVEST. FINALLY, I GOT UP AND SAID ( I WAS BREAKING EVEN) FOLKS IT HAS BEEN REAL AND IT HAS BEEN FUN; BUT I CANNOT SAY IT HAS BEEN REAL FUN. MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.

Starting 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.

This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
