Back in the seventies had a company car, but policy was no towing. (old bumpers) My buddy said lets take his trailer and boat up to Lake Mead. Using my new car. I told him against company policy to tow with my car. Well he said they will never know, just rent a bumper hitch, and we'll have fun in LV, and go boating on the lake. I said OK, we went to a small marina drove down a hill on a dirt road, lunched the boat, and parked the car and trailer. While on the lake for 30 minutes, a thunder storm approached with lighting, everyone went to the nearest shore. After about 45 minutes the storm passed, so we went back to the marina, but couldn't find the marina. After searching for 30 mins. someone told us flash flood, wiped out the marina, and all cars and trailers were washed into the lake and now somewhere at the bottom. So no car or trailer, only a boat, all personal belongs and car and trailer gone. We went to another marina tied up his boat at the dock, made a call to a local friend he rented a car and trailer, pick us up. I got fired! Yes bad things happen on the Lake.
