The red and the yellow dollars from Silver Smith are in the current TCR. There are catalog notes on both that say these were either repaired or remolded for other reasons. I don't really understand the notes as they say $5 in the description for the $1 off-color chips. The denomination is in the brass core, not the plastic molded part of the chip.

My guess is that a chip collector had the off-color dollars made for his collection. Unfortunately, this situation was not uncommon for these PMSC chips in those days; the dates for the off-color chips are question marks. That should make those chips of no value to other collectors.
