Steve, sorry to hear about your situation. From experience, I wouldn't waste my time with Medicare. I would persist with the manufacturer, working it until you get a live body on the other end. All manufacurers have their medicatons available at reduced cost. You just have to "plead" you case very well.
If that didn't work, I would talk with my cardiologist again and ask if there is a "like acting" drug that might be less expensive at the pharmacy. Frequently, your doctors have no idea of your financial situation unless you tell them.
I have two Tier 4 drugs that I just don't take anymore because they're too expensive. That may not be the wisest thing to do but it works for me.
