I went to Jai Alai matches while in Madrid Spain on business in the late 1970's. We made a lot of bets but didn't collect any winners. They played with a "bat" instead of the "basket" used in Mexico. I was also in Reno on business when the MGM first opened and some of the folks I was with went out to see the matches and one of them hit a nice daily double. It didn't last too long - i suppose no one up here understood the game that much.
