I am going to guess that it is from a city named Delphi in the English-speaking world (therefore not the original in Greece) with a sense of humor.

Sense of humor? "Golden Ace" could be a play on the Greek story of the "Golden Fleece" (although that is not a story involving ancient Delphi in Greece).

Could it be British? Perhaps, if it is from a military base catering to Americans (I have found no such listing, though). I suspect someone will find a restaurant, bar or social club in the USA in or near a city called Delphi.
