The Lotus Inn sat casino-less for a long time, and one New Years Eve, I saw an ad in the paper, "casino opening midnite Dec 31". I went that night but it was slots only. Want to say it was between 1980-83, because I was in Vegas for every NYE in that stretch. One of those years, the El Morocco closed at midnite, years end. I remember being there, and the floor man anouncing last shoe (ever) at the 21 table.
