I found the club, because of an article in Poker Player Magazine. Lucky for me that was 15-20 years ago.
I honestly want to rent a table at a local, small "coin" show in Green Bay, WI. Which has bank note people and some other dealers, I don't think they would mind exonumia, but I'll ask, if the date matches this year. The table is not for me to sell, but for CC>CC promotion, trying to attract new members. Of course I'd hope to attract some dealers with casino chips.
I will have some of my collection, and membership applications. I had cards made that say "I collect casino chips" and handed them to every dealer at the show, two years ago. Not one call or email. I still have hope!
There's always a chance that casino will catch on again. I think part of the problem is Silver Strike machines, basically dying off. The new ones could help. Another problem is TITO no more tokens. Not that they were big for collecting or values, but they are fun.
I personally never collected LEs but that became a pit with too many issues and flooding the market.
What's left? Honest to goodness casion chips, used at casons, NVC, checks, free play, Win Cards, roulettes and other interesting chips.
Not putting down the rest, I mean I have coin buckets, drink chips, matches, Keno tickets, nickle slot tokens, aluminum tokens, ash trays and dice too. But the main attraction was always, chips that are used in a casino, in some way.
