I think you would be surprised how many members would vote to save our club instead of resorting to article seven. Amendments happen all
the time and are healthy for growth.
Maybe the club site will get a couple hits from people looking up 6 and 7.
As the President, what is the plan for increasing membership in your eyes? What has been tried and has failed? What has worked well, can we repeat it? At the club business meeting this year there was no plan reported under the membership report. What are our goals for this year? If we don't make goals and have measurable outcomes we are not doing our job?
We are a all volunteer organization, are we just happy someone is doing a job for us… no matter what the results?
Sorry I'm a little grumpy today I see this great club slipping away every day and it sucks.
Has the BOD decided against my suggestion of bringing in a unaffiliated 501c3 organizational specialist to do a health report on our organization. They work with organizations to develop strategic plans. I have always thought we need a full time effort from someone running the day to day duties of the club, a (((DIRECTOR))) to help organize the volunteer work. If we can't "hire" someone because that changes something "conceptually" about the club… lets create a job description and see if we have any volunteers for the position.
The suggestion about the WSOP that Ronald made is a good one. How would this become a reality for us? I'll tell you… It is through a relationship, not through spending money to rent space. This type of "relationship" is typically through a Board Member connection. This is why we need to grow our Board of Directors to include members who's relationships can help support the organization and it's mission.
Yes... we need change big time!
