Second thought, maybe not as exceedingly rare as you think, in that I was able to find one in a coin seller's album. Or maybe just luck? Third thought, I wonder if the Star Club in Bakersfield was a strip joint rather than a card room? The general style of the token calls to mind similar coins of different firms that were girlie XXX places around Los Angeles.
