I am not suggesting that Kelly lied. I am saying that an ACC official who had absolutely no authority to make a call most likely told a coach what he wanted to hear.

The play could have been called either way and those in charge of making the call, called it not targeting.

Who knows if that would have had an impact in the game.
Maybe ND fumbles on the next snap?
Maybe if they called the missed extra point delay of game the Horns would have won in regulation?

Anything is possible.

Once again it was a hard hit that could have been called either way but there were a lot of plays like that in the game including a ton of holding that was never called.

I honestly hope ND wins out the rest of the season.
