Pam, I remember going in the El Rio in the early 70s-probably 1973 to get chips. When I worked at the Hacienda in 71 or 72 they hired
a crapdealer who had broken in at the El Rio. At the time there was some kind of law requiring strip hotels to have 12% black people on
their staff. This kid was a terrible dealer but he knew they couldn't fire him. It was kind of funny. Later on the place became a VFW hall.
