Does Norm have evidence of what he is saying? The calendar is evidence from the time period...the phone book is evidence from the time period. I'd trust information from Phil Jensen in a heartbeat. However, Norm says the Oasis Club in Searchlight is still open today...it isn't. There have been other Oasis Clubs, such as the one in Mesquite (which may be still open), but there is no Oasis Club in Searchlight that is currently open.

Presumably the dates originally came from Harvey Fuller, and were transcribed from the back of a keno ticket (or some other notepaper that was handy at the moment ) by Howard Herz. There could have been a typo, there could have been an ownership change, they could have dropped table games...I haven't a guess.
