AT THE TROP CASINO IN GREENVILLE, MS A FEW YEARS AGO, I WAS IN LINE AT CAGE TO GET A PLAYERS CARD, I NOTICED THAT THE LADY IN FRONT OF ME WAS GIVEN 4 NCV/MATCH PLAY CHIPS, SO WHILE I AM GETTING MY CARD I ASKED IF I CAN GET SOME OF THE MATCH PLAY CHIPS. THE CASHIER SAID NO, YOU MUST HAVE A FLYER THAT WAS MAILED TO YOU AND THEN PRESENT TO US AT CAGE. THAT WAS NOT THE ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR, SO I FOLLOWED THE LADY THAT WAS IN FRONT ME AND JUST BEFORE SHE GOT TO THE TABLES I ASKED HER IF SHE WOULD SELL ME ONE OF THOSE CHIPS. SHE SAID OK; AND GAVE ME ONE FOR $5. I HAD THOUGHT ABOUT ASKING FOR ALL 4, BUT; THAT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN A SMART THING TO DO, SHE MAY NOT HAVE GOT EVEN SOLD ME THE ONE.
I GO TO THIS CASINO ABOUT ONCE A YEAR. I HAVE A SISTER THAT LIVES IN GREENVILLE, AND I HAD LIVED THERE 20 YEARS MYSELF. I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF DICE FROM THIS CASINO, I NEVER VISITED THIS CASINO WHEN THEY HAD CRAPS AND WOULD PUT THEIR USED DICE OUT NEAR THE CAGE, AS THEY DID YEARS AGO. YOU ARE WELCOME TO EDIT THIS IF YOU WANT; FOR USE IN YOUR FRIDAY HARVEST STORIES
REGGIE, I ALWAYS TIP REGARDLESS OF WHERE I GET THE CHIPS: TABLES, CAGE OR POKER ROOM.

COLUSA CASINO WAS THE OBJECT OF MY POKER THIRST ONE LATE NIGHT IN AUGUST, WHILE MAKING MY BI-ANNUAL TRIP TO MONTANA TO A FAMILY REUNION. I WAS DRIVING MY EDDIE BAUER FORD EXPEDITION, AND HAD STOPPED AT THE COLUSA INDIAN CASINO TO PICK UP A FEW HANDS. UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE CLOSED, I HAD INTENDED ON A MAKING A HARVEST WHILE THERE. I WAS JUST STANDING THERE AT THE CLOSED DOOR TO THE POKER ROOM PONDERING WHAT TO DO NEXT, ACTUALLY MY ONLY CHOICE WAS TO DRIVE BACK TO I-5 AND GET ON DOWN THE ROAD TO REDDING. THEN THIS YOUNG MAN, WELL; HE WAS LOOKED YOUNG TO ME, POSSIBLY THIRTYISH WALKED UP TO ME AND ASKED, ARE THEY CLOSED? I SAID THEY SURE ARE, HE SAYS THAT HAPPENS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK WHEN THEY CANNOT GET A GAME GOING EARLY. HE SAID, I AM GOING UP TO FEATHER FALLS THEY ALWAYS HAVE A GAME GOING. WE CHATTED A BIT MORE AND HE SEEMED LIKE AN HONEST SORT. I ASKED HIM DO YOU MIND IF I FOLLOW YOU? HE SAID SURE, AND WE WERE OFF THROUGH THE BACK COUNTRY OF NORTH CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. AFTER WE WERE SEATED AT THE FEATHER FALLS POKER ROOM, I GOT TO KNOW HIM BETTER, AND WE SHARED SOME POKER STORIES, A FEW LAUGHS, AND AROUND 5 AM SUNRISE, THE GAME BROKE AND I WANDERED DOWN TO THE BLACKJACK TABLES TO FINISH MY HARVEST AT THE FEATHER FALLS CASINO. I DID GET ENOUGH CHIPS AT THE CASINO IN OROVILLE, ENJOYED THE NIGHT, AND DROVE AS FAR AS MY PREVIOUSLY RESERVED MOTEL SOME WHERE ON I-5; STOPPED LONG ENOUGH TO GET A SHOWER, AND GOT BACK ON THE ROAD TO MONTANA.

I am always trying to put things together that have some semblance of balance. Of course, that will always be in the eye of the beholder. Some of these may attract you the collector a little or a lot, no matter which way it attracts, please know I am always trying to help you out, with items you want at price that is fair. For now, I am going to do them every week, but as an unscheduled surprise feature…Thanks for looking. Reggie
If you have some ideas about compatible pairs please send them in to me. If it is possible and I happen to have the two, they will be put on the docket...reg

TRADING CHIPS POLICY (MY)
The following numbered points are some good policies to carry into the arena of trading with other collectors. Please try to adhere to these guidelines. Any questions please email first.
1) If it is a lopsided trade where additional p/h is required throw in a couple of extra chips (example tokens always weigh more)
2) Always let the trading partner know when you receive your chips.
3) Try not to send severely nicked, damaged, or extremely dirty chips.
4) Some traders require a photo image pre-ceding the actual trades, accommodate them, unless you do not have scan capabilities.
5) Try to be an equal partner in the trade, do not make one party of the trade do all the work.
6) I prefer to trade with CC-GTCC members, because of the honesty of this group is very high. I do and have made trades with non-members.
7) I try not to do lateral trading. In other words; I do not like to trade any chips I only have one of for another chip I do not have any of; and I have it in my personal collection already. I may do this if this collector/trader is a highly valued club member and customer.
• A trading policy, is usually never the same with any two chip collectors, having said that I will try to explain my trading policy.
• Let’s go with the obvious first: commons for commons, Current table chips for current table chips, new racks for new racks. Of course, there are always an exception or two to the above rule: For instance if there is a charge to get into the facility, or it is a member only club, you get my drift. I may want more than a common for a chip like a “Greenbriar” or a “Delaware Sport Lounge”. If I was to trade these chips at all. A second exception would be; if you keep your trading inventory lean and mean…and you just ran out of a new common chip that is being offered for your older obsolete chip, and you have two or three of the older obsolete. This constitutes a trade of equal value, because both parties are getting what they need/want.
• Denominations often throw new collectors a curve. Many cannot understand why they cannot trade a common $5 chip for 5 - $1 chips. There are several reasons that this is not something that some collector/dealers do not want to do. One is the ratio of $1 chip collectors to collectors that collect higher denominations. Mostly, in order to acquire the five chips, (from the example above) it takes five times the effort, gas, and expense as it takes the one $5 chip. And yes, the actual value is the same, but not really. Also, invariably the new or novice collector will stray into the higher valued or obsolete chips when picking the 5 that he feels he deserves for the one $5 chip. Some people are ok with this, when you find chippers like that, try not to take advantage of them. I lean on the side of not doing it, but possibly, in part; of a large trade, if the higher denomination is a chip I really want for my collection.
• Next there is a group of chips that are made available by dealer/investors that eventually flood the market, actually lowering value of the chip below its face value; in some cases, it is hard to give them away once you have been unlucky enough to acquire. Examples of this are: Aces Casino, Jok-Erz Casino, Hard Rock Albuquerque, NM, Sonoma Joes, California Bell, etc. These can be mixed in with the commons in most cases. There are some in this group that are very slowly being meted out in order to maintain some value.
• Let’s try and tackle the obsolete group…these have to be traded based on the Guides valuation. And/or the asking price. There are numerous guides, most people are aware of the TCR(The Chip Rack) which covers Nevada. There are also separate guides for CA, WA, MT, and CO. There are also guides that cover areas such as such as the Official U S Casino Chip Price Guide, this guide covers NV, CO, SD (Deadwood), Riverboat States (IL, IN, IA, LA, MS & MO), and Atlantic City. There is one more guide that covers multiple states: A Guide to the Casino Chips of MI, MN, ND SD and WI…and many guides are available on the internet. I will try to help you hook up with the sellers of any of these guides should you be interested. One last thought on obsolete chips, it is always up to the two people that own the two chips that want to trade; to be satisfied with the trade.
• This is a work in progress, will be adding bullets as I think of them…Reggie
I will endeavor to provide these free personal chips shown below to everyone that makes even a minimal order. There are a few of other peoples personals, these were acquired by mistake or given to me by someone other than the sponsor of the chip. They need a good home, and to those of you that are thinking of having a personal chip made for the first time let me say it always a good idea. We have 2 or 3 people that make these within our club. This is always fun around a poker table, people are genuinely impressed with the fact that “you” have your own personal poker chip.
So let me elaborate a little more on the way you can own one or more of these chips shown below. First they are FREE to any one that makes a purchase.
Also, if you do not want to make a purchase and are more into trading, I will trade any personal chip for any chip in slightly used condition; that is not older than 6 months, common, or special it makes no difference. Please know I will trade personals for personals that I do not have.
Hope we can find some common ground to get these nice looking personals into your hands. Thank you for your interest in our ‘Very Fun Hobby” Sincerely, Reggie
Starting in January 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.
Follow This Collection Library Link To Approximately +/- 4500 Trader Chips >>>: http://www.collectionlibrary.com/Index.asp?EvApp=mls.5117&sPageName=MyTraders
This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
Thanks for taking your time to read over this post, Reggie
