Although we frequently see the "shiny hats" version of the hat and cane chip mold abbreviated as "CJ", Bill and Bernard actually operated as Christy & Jones in Kansas City. Here's a copy of their state registration document from David Spragg's web site:

Their advertising sample chips also say "Christy & Jones".
