I'm looking for help. I have a chip that belonged to my grandfather. The markings on it say:
1000 Societe des Bains de Mer Monaco. The back has a sticker that says " Plaque de Casino" Genuine 1930's gambling chip.
It is encased in Lucite. Looks like metal ( copper ) oxidized to the left side of teh rectangle chip. There is a banner under it that reads with the Societe des Bains de Mer Monaco. I can't really see the back of the chip in the pastic casing because of the white label that was affixed.
Any idea's what this is worth other than being a paperweight? All I know is that he kept it as a souvenir and had it put in the Lucite to try to preserve/save it so he could display it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can't figure out how to put a photo from my desktop on here so I included a link to a page i found that has one that looks just like it.
