Back in the early 1990's my mother moved into the Best of Life Jewish Senior Apts. adjoining the new Taj Mahal Casino on Virginia Ave. & the Boardwalk (see bldg.photos behind sign) .... When Trump took over the Taj ... he really took care of the Seniors next door at the Best of Life ... he remodeled all of the Apts. free ... new appliances, new kitchens, baths, paint, enclosed the balconies with sliding glass windows etc. He provided added security and provided an enclosure walkway into the Taj Mahal so the Seniors stayed out of the weather. He even gave away free show tickets and buffets to the Senior Center around certain holidays. My sister-in law was a Cocktail Server there for year's and said the Donald was very nice to the staff. I know he can be a BIG-A ....but say what you will about the Donald ... he has done a lot of good for Atlantic City ... and has invested money when others would not. Remember the tax on gaming is about double what it is here in Nevada! It's a shame the Unions and local / state agencies are demanding more and more $$$ when the well is drying up!
