Another Vegas Poker Room Bites the Dust - The Linq

Just heard that the Linq will be closing its poker room in a few days.

It joins O'Sheas and Bills as the last of the low roller poker rooms on the Strip.

The Linq is the only poker room on the Strip that offered 1/1 NL. I played a few times there, and it was a crazy drunk fest..a helluva lot of fun for those that crave action.

I would say The Flamingo is now the best poker room on the Strip for those that want to play poker, be sociable, and drink a lot. They actually get quite a few tables these days at 1/2 NL and 2/4 Limit..several tables of each run regularly. I doubt it is profitable for many with the CET $5-$6 drop, but the poker room manager there sure has been successful in increasing traffic in that room, during this depressed Vegas poker economy..
