CAT’S PAW CARDROOM BOZEMAN, MONTANA
MONTANA IS FAMOUS FOR ITS’ ONE TABLE CARDROOMS. WHEN I FIRST WALKED INTO THIS CARDROOM IT WAS USING SOME WILD BILL HICKOK GENERICS. THE 2ND TIME I WALKED IN THERE THEY HAD THE CURRENT CAT’S PAW CHIPS “GOT THE NUTS” VERSION. THOSE ARE THE COOLEST CHIPS, ALMOST AS COOL AS THE DOC & EDDY’S “COOL CAT”.

I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THINK THAT IN SHARING THESE STORIES, THERE MIGHT BE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT YOU MAY NOT THOUGHT ABOUT WHILE YOU WERE OUT HARVESTING.
ALL OF THE STORIES CAN NOT BE STELLAR STORIES, AND THEY WILL RANGE FROM “HO-HUM” TO “R U KIDDIN’ ME”. I’M SURE SOME OF YOU WILL FIND SOME OF THEM SLIGHTLY AMUSING AND ENTERTAINING.
SOME OF THE REASONS THAT I ENJOYED HARVESTING IS THE LOCATIONS, THE GEOGRAPHY, AND MOST OF ALL I LOVED THE HISTORY OF THE AREAS I HAD TO GO TO FINDING THE CHIPS.
MY TRAVELS HAVE TAKEN ME THROUGH ALL OF THE LOWER 48 STATES. I ALSO TRAVELED TO MANY PROVINCES IN CANADA, MANY OF THE ISLANDS IN THE CARIBBEAN AND PARTS OF EUROPE.
PLEASE KNOW, THAT IN WRITING THESE STORIES; IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES HARVESTING. NOW-A-DAYS MOST OF MY TRAVELING IS DONE BY PLANE OR BOAT.
I AM TRYING HAVE A GUEST AUTHOR ON FRIDAYS, WHEN POSSIBLE. THIS WOULD ADD SOME DIFFERENT TWISTS TO THIS FUN HOBBY’S HARVESTING TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS.

A WANTED CHIP

THE CHALLENGE CAME WHEN I CAME IN THE SECOND TIME AND ASKED TO BUY SOME CHIPS WHILE I WAITED TO PLAY. IT WAS A DEFINITE NO. BUT, THE YOUNG MAN THAT WAS RUNNING THE GAME WAS APPARENTLY HALF OWNER OF THE CARDROOM. SO WHILE I BLED A SLOW DEATH AND DROPPED 3 BILLS PLAYING POKER I KEPT WORKING ON HIM, GIVING HIM THE SPIEL THAT EACH CHIP IS AN ADVERTISING TOOL, ETC. HE FINALLY SAID SEE ME BEFORE YOU LEAVE I’LL SEE WHAT I CAN DO.
THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO INJECT SOMETHING THAT I HAVE FOUND IN MY LATER TRAVELS TO MONTANA TO BE TRUE. THE AVERAGE POKER PLAYER IN MONTANA IS A LOT BETTER THAN THE AVERAGE POKER PLAYER FROM ALMOST ANY WHERE. “THAT’S MY STORY AND I AM STICKING TO IT…LOL”
ANYWAY WHEN I HAD ENOUGH OF THE MONTANA POKER HOSPITALITY, I GOT UP AND SAID I’M READY TO HEAD OUT. HE SAID WELL HOW MANY CHIPS DO YOU WANT, I SAID WELL I WOULD LIKE 30 $1’S AND 4 $5’S, HE LOOKED AT ME KIND OF FUNNY AND HE SAID, OK YOU PAID YOUR DUES TONIGHT. AND THEN HE COUNTED THEM OUT FOR ME, AND I FLIPPED HIM A $50 BILL. I DID GET ENOUGH THIS TIME.…REGGIE

MY COLLECTION LIBRARY WEB SITE
HOME OF 4500 TRADERS
Starting in January 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.

This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.

I will endeavor to provide these free personal chips shown below to everyone that makes even a minimal order. There are a few of other peoples personals, these were acquired by mistake or given to me by someone other than the sponsor of the chip. They need a good home, and to those of you that are thinking of having a personal chip made for the first time let me say it always a good idea. We have 2 or 3 people that make these within our club. This is always fun around a poker table, people are genuinely impressed with the fact that “you” have your own personal poker chip.
So let me elaborate a little more on the way you can own one or more of these chips shown below. First they are FREE to any one that makes a purchase.
Also, if you do not want to make a purchase and are more into trading, I will trade any personal chip for any chip in slightly used condition; that is not older than 6 months, common, or special it makes no difference. Please know I will trade personals for personals that I do not have.
