I love reading some of the Facebook comments from some people who ate there....

*** Lunch and penny slots when I was 18 and working at Central Telephone's 601 Building (as we called it... formerly Sears). Foxy's had a great toppings bar. Anything you could ever want on a hot dog.

***The wooden Indian out front was actually part of Trader Bills, next door.

***They had a most unique game inside of Foxy Dog called Computer Quiz. I used to play it all the time.

*** The condiment bar was in the middle of the room and was a large oval table with a formica top. Down each side of the table were holes with stainless steel "cups" sitting in the holes. Each cup contained a different condiment. The cups had; pickle relish, French's Mustard, minced white onions, small yellow chili peppers, grated Parmesan, sliced black olives, Heinz Ketchup, sauerkraut, and a meatless chili sauce. I remember this because I still make my hot dogs like this today!

*** When I started working at the Four Queens on graveyard, I would stop at Foxy Dog every day and get a dog, load it up with all the condiments, a lemonade all for 49 cents. More often than not, it was my one meal of the day.

***Thank you for posting this! Yes- I ate there a bunch and when I talk about it to people now they always say " oh yeah Foxys Firehouse" and I'm like noooo... My dad owned an ice cream store on Fourth street just around the corner. Dipsy Doodle Ice Creamland.
