Token collecting is like coin collecting.....if the token is in a "near mint to mint" state it's worth a lot more to one that is well used.
Most casino tokens today are worth less than face value but there are always exceptions to the rule. Some tokens are silver or sterling silver so they are worth more than face value.
You can go to Dan Wicket's site for the best list of casino tokens and you might find out that some of the tokens are worth more than face value.

If I was buying I would be looking at 50% to 75% of face value for tokens (in bulk). If the tokens are higher than $10.00 face value, go even lower since there are very few high end token collectors.
The market isn't strong for casino tokens.....but I'm still buying and adding to my collection all the time.
