but you are right about the "fraternity" part. This club is, for the most part, made up of a lot of groups of good friends...and those friendships are really what keep most of these people members, I would guess. Some people only care about collecting chips because they have enough friends or don't care to make new friends -- they just want to collect. I get that. But then you really can't disparage those that have come to be a part of this club simply for the friendships -- or the "fraternity". I don't like everyone in this club and there are plenty that don't care for me...so we just avoid each other & it doesn't impact either's enjoyment of the club or the hobby. No one NEEDS this club to collect, but this club is probably the best vehicle to actively maintain interest in the gaming memorabilia & chip collecting hobby which is a benefit to everyone involved -- whether you are a club member or not.
