We lost electricity to our house (entire grid) yesterday at 5:45 PM and despite feeble promises of L. A. Dept. of Water & Power to restore it by 1:31 AM, as far as I know, we are still without power. No air conditioning (it was 111 degrees yesterday), no computer (writing from work), and -- well, a lot of Buzzard Food in the refrigerator now. I knew I couldn't trust a 1:31 start time for power! (They updated it with 11:30 AM this morning, then "Gosh, we really don't know when.") If anyone collects Rotten Meat, I'll be happy to bring some along. Only buzzard colony I know of is up in Aromas, CA and I'm not going there for a few weeks.

Planning on leaving tomorrow evening so my tires don't explode, at least on the way there. Will have some recently-released CA chips unless they turn into Pringles on the way out.
