Back in the 70s, I had a Johnson & Perkins yellow rose bush. Its blooms
were almost 4 inches across. The following year, the blooms were small.
miserable roses less than half the size of the yellow one. A florist friend
told it was the result of pollination. I was beyond annoyed and pulled that
bush up and discarded it.
