Years ago I spoke to a Chipper who said they went there to try to get chips, and it sounded like a Super Ultra New Town Tavern story from West Vegas.
He told me there were broken windows all around this place..he didn't feel safe..it only had 4 tables..and no one spoke a word of English! He told me the clientele is pretty much all immigrant farm workers who work the fields in the area.
Not only that but they have some of the nicest $1 chips in all of the Golden State.
BTW, I've seen the red chips go for up to $50 on Ebay, and the green ones even more.
$25 seems like a fair deal..
