I was playing BJ at the old Ramada Express in Laughlin 15 years ago. I asked dealer if he could look for a new condition 5.00 chip, he did and asked if I was a chip collector, I told him yes I always take a couple of chips from various casinos I've visited. He asked if I was a Chip Collector Club member, I said no, I didn't know such a club existed. (been taking home chips for 30 previous years) He then said right now up in LV a chip club convention is going on, I wouldn't believe what they have for sale. (forgot which hotel) so I drove up to LV, went to the convention, and couldn't believe my eyes. Joined the club that day, and have had so much fun for the last 15 years. I have sold over 4,000 chips on e-bay, but before I was educated I sold so many great chips for very, very cheap prices. Then in a few years purchased the Chip Rack and was educated. Best advice for any new member buy the Chip Rack and learn not only the price/guide on 40,000+ chips, but information on many other aspects of collecting chips.
