A lot of good info in this thread for new collectors.

When I started out, I, like many others, got fooled by the second category of Borland chips, mentioned here. Bought some fake chips that I was led to believe were real casino chips.

Not sure if I buy the notion that Borland was 100% innocent of deceiving the public, even though some of his friends might want to believe that.

Anyhoo, his chips, love them or hate them, is a very important part of this hobby..
