I dont have any knowledge on this Club. I know there was also a Star Club in Bakersfield (I have seen trade tokens.... See image below) but I don't think they had gaming. If Larry says it was Merced...it was Merced. He is the authority on California card rooms. I believe he has done more research than all of us combined on California.
***This token has nothing to do with the chip in question other than their names****It would be easy for someone to attribute both chip and the token to Bakersfield because of their names. That is why we try to research places and give more accurate information. There are many chips with California ID's that are not correct. I believe (along with others) that people in the past have just simply put ID's on chips so they could sell them. This has done our hobby a great injustice.
