OK so I decided that I have been wasting a day by not going to yard sales on Fridays so I thought I would try it today. I only had 4 places on the list but one was a community sale with about 10 houses participating. I did very well at one sale by getting the two gold pieces. The necklace is 14k and weighs 4 grams and the bracelet just seemed very heavy to me. I thought it was 14K but when I got home I found out why it is so heavy. It isn't 14k, it is 18K and weighs 10 grams. That means I spent $20 on $350 worth of gold. The two silver pieces are nothing special but I got them at les than half of silver value so it is a win.

But some of the other crap I picked up included 6 rolls of jewelry wire and three packs of Swarski crystals for Cindys beading habit, a new box of tooth whitening stuff and an atlas for the car. The atlas was actually free since the lady was moving and would probably just throw it away anyway. You just never know what you are going to find. The lady who is moving told me that she threw away some old Biloxi chips just last week since she knew the casinos were closed due to Katrina.
