I saw the same notice awhile back. However, the most recent story I heard was that the State Gaming Commission formally pulled the Palomar license, and indeed have listed it that way on their website. Hence talk of "temporarily closed" isn't exactly accurate. It will take a whole boatload of lawyers and financial wizards to convince the State, and the City of San Diego, to allow the Palomar to reopen. Transfer of its license to any other owner is prohibited by the City. Uh-oh, here comes that boat...
