These were made by Paul-son about 15 years ago as home-play or souvenir chips. Several collectors objected saying these were "too real" and might be mistaken for actual casino chips from Cuba (even though they had a recent date on them). The were withdrawn from sale at the Paul-son stores after a few weeks.

When I got mine, the $1 Tropicana was no longer available at the store and I had to buy it later from a collector to complete the set of 12. These are from my collection and I have only one set.
