Casino de Isthmus City. One white whale down...

... many more to go!

Ever have that white whale chip-- not necessarily expensive, perhaps even reportedly common, but yet seemingly impossible to find once you start looking for it? It was that way for me with the $20 (Las Vegas) Nevada Club in uncancelled condition; the yellow C&S lion head chip; and so it has been with this:

It is one of the (presumably) common after market chips made by the thousands by Paulson for home play, albeit likely in the early 90s when they still produced them with the shaped inlays (later issues were all round). I had seen one hub inlay $5 10+ years ago that I missed in an eBay auction, and despite hearing rumors of others who supposedly have hundreds of them that they use in their home games, I had never actually seen any. Finally, an eBay auction a week or so ago and it was (finally) mine.

Here is the collection so far:

I am still missing most of the prop chips (which I may never get), but are there any other variants of the home chips that you've seen?

Finally, please share! What are (or were) your white whales?
