I have seen this Club listed as Foster City every time I look into the ChipGuide. I Strongly disagree with this ID. (But I have been wrong before..Western Club Fairfield 🤔)
*** If anyone has any proof of the Foster City ID I would be open to listening!! Or an Address in that town***
Foster's Club
143 Main St
Rio Vista, Ca
1930's - presently open
I thought I had a match cover around here somewhere.
I guess we have to ask if these chips were made by Jack Todd Co. (pre 1952) or by Christy Jones (until 1980?)
If they were made by the Jack Todd Co.... They couldn't possibly be from Foster City. Foster City was made from a landfill in the mid to late 60's and wasn't incorporated until .....
I also know of a guy who has some of these chips in the original boxes. I have been trying to get ahold of this guy(very elusive) to see the boxes. The only thing is... I'm not sure if it is the F Club chips or Foster's Club chips in those boxes(or both). That could give us a maker. I WILL get this info.
Oh....and read this following post....
