GREAT CANADIAN CASINO VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA
THIS TRIP WAS WITH KEN, MY SON; WE HAD ALREADY BEEN TO DEADWOOD, MONTANA AND PARTS OF WASHINGTON. THE DAY DID NOT START OUT VERY GOOD, WE GOT HELD UP BY A SWING BRIDGE, THAT LET SEVERAL SHIPS THROUGH A CHANNEL 50 MILES SOUTH OF PORT ANGELES. THIS CAUSED US TO MISS THE FERRY TO VICTORIA. ANOTHER 3 HOUR WAIT WAS THE RESULT OF THE PREVIOUS WAIT AT THE BRIDGE.
WE FINALLY MADE IT OVER TO VICTORIA TO ENJOY ALL THAT VICTORIA HAD TO OFFER; THAT WE HAD TIME FOR. IT IS REALLY A VERY SPECIAL CITY TO VISIT FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO GO ON YOUR NEXT VACATION.
KEN AND I NEEDED A LONG BREAK AFTER WALKING ALL OVER THE BUTCHART GARDENS. THE HARVEST WAS REALATIVELY EASY TO MAKE, IF YOU WERE WILLING TO BUY CHIPS FROM A BLACK JACK TABLE AND PLAY A FEW HANDS. THE TRICKY PART IS THAT ALL OF THE CHIPS HAVE DATE #’S ON THEM. I WAS TRYING TO GET 5 OF EACH NUMBER, SO I WOULD BUY CHIPS PLAY A HAND OR TWO, THEN GO CHECK THEM OUT SOME WHERE AWAY FROM THE EYES OF THE PIT BOSSES, CASH THE ONES NOT NEEDED, AND DO IT OVER AGAIN. I NEVER DID GET ENOUGH OF SOME DATES ON THE CHIPS. THERE WAS A CAFÉ ATTACHED TO THE CASINO, WHERE KEN WAS RELAXING THAT I EVENTUALLY BROUGHT MY TREASURES FOR HIM TO HOLD ON TO UNTIL I WAS DONE. THE CHEF, WHO OWNED THE FRANCHISE WAS FASCINATED WITH WHAT I WAS DOING SO I GAVE HIM THE SHORT VERSION OF HOW MUCH FUN CHIP COLLECTING IS. NEVER DID GET ALL I NEEDED FROM THIS CASINO.…REGGIE

Nancy and I are going on vacation FROM MAY3rd - 16th. No Page of the Day’s are scheduled for the this time period. We will be traveling to Vancouver and catching the Celebrity Solstice. For a weeks cruise up to Alaska and back. Make your order for any of their chips now… Brrrrrrrrrr.
