Yes, I went to a bunch of casinos, and picked up a bunch of chips, but it's not why we went to Aruba, so I think it counts.
As far as I know, I have the only ones of these in any chip collectors' hands. Anyone have one? It was used as an ncv, but it was originally ordered to be the $5 rack chip when the casino first opened. The order was part of the Chipco chips that faded, and they chips were put away and never used, until 2006, when they used them as ncv's for some packaged hotel deal.
Same year, I went to Oregon and spent most of my time in Newport. I played in a $2-4 hold 'em game. There was a guy who returned that day from his tour of duty in Iraq. The game was really friendly and a lot of fun. I kept that one $5 chip and a few $1 chips (most long gone). It wasn't long after that that all of the poker clubs in Newport, Oregon were shut down.
