Virgin prices for Premium & Upper rise all the time here on in. I buy mine 9 months out. $4k for upper but as a gold card holder that gives me enough miles for 1/3 of another upper, and enough baggage allowance to save $600 in excess baggage (or even more in shipping). So by the time I expense it I figure it is only costing $1100.
