I reached out to them about payment options (using PayPal vs. check) build out the website, and few other ideas.....and was pretty much told to mind my own business.

I even reached out to them about having their convention at the same time/place as our convention (to help both clubs out) and was pretty much told to mind my own business. I think President Smith also reached out to them and got the same "warm welcome".

I did see that the president of the club passed away and now they are on Facebook.....with few people looking at their site (and posting on their page). Maybe they are ready for change now.

I really think if we could reach out to other clubs and build a "super club" it might be the best way to keep us all continuing for years to come (Matchbook collectors, swizzle stick collectors, playing card collectors, glass collectors, napkin collectors (and for Archie, rat collectors ).

I can't imagine the swizzle stick collectors having a 501c status (or much in the way of funds).

I'm sure our BOD has been doing this already......just food for thought.
