youre talking about Gods country...spent lots of time backpacking their in the 70s...Clearwater, Selway-Bitterroot Mountain range, some of the roughest country I've ever been in...once had a base camp at Elk City and spent 3 months backpacking....Lolo Pass...wow....can you just imagine Lewis and Clark back in time traveling the area...even back in the 70s it seemed like I was the first person to ever step foot in the area...last of the Grizzly's were in the Clearwater-Bitterroot area.
