The wife and I took a 1 1/2 hour bus trip to Vina del Mar(Chile) from Santiago yesterday. We got into Vina del Mar after the bus ride and walked through an almost empty downtown (very creepy) to the Casino. It was a 20 minute walk. We finally got to the Casino and all the table games are closed for another 3 hours.(until 1pm) So we walked along the beach front and people started to appear here and there. Within 2 hours the streets were very crowded. We ate some lunch and went back to the casino.
I played a poker type of game for a bit and went to cash in while putting a couple in my pocket. 😎
I then went over to the slots for 20 mins and back to the table games. I played for a bit and went to cash in again while putting chips in my pocket.
I walked around for a few minutes throughout the casino and went to play a table game again. As I sat down the pit boss says something to me in Spanish, but I have no idea what he was saying. I look at him puzzled and a patron at the table says" He doesn't want you to put any more chips in your pockets!".... I look up and say "OK" while giving him the 👌 sign.....and he got very mad at me and through me out of the Casino........apparently the 👌 (OK sign) has a totally different meaning in Chile.
