I have an iPad and a Mac, but not an Apple phone. Both sons have iPads, iPhones,
Macs, etc. and they say the updates on their individual accounts are as you describe.
When everything is under one account that will happen. My iPad updates are usually
fast. My Mac has automatic updates.

What you wrote: Apple is like a virus itself... is a bit drastic.

The flip side? With Microsoft there are constant virus scans. And the anti-virus
software has constant updates. I certainly don't miss all the annoyances of life
with a pc. I'll take a Mac every time!
