In 1950 I was 12 years old went to LV with my aunt & uncle for a summer vacation and stayed at the Flamingo. I was around the pool but didn't go in the water, William Bendix asked me why I didn't go in the water it is a very hot day. I told him I didn't know how to swim, he said I'll teach you. Over the next three days I learned how to swim, what a nice man he was.
