I remember buying ten real silver dollars (Morgan,Peace) from a change booth at the Stardust
Hotel in 1965 thinking I'd walk out with them. As soon as I had them in my hand a change girl
appeared and walked me to a machine and watched until I had lost every last one! I guess
the Stardust was one of the last casinos to use them in Las Vegas. Someone once told me
the El Capitan in Hawthorne used them until 1968 but I couldn't say for sure.
