First legal dollar casino tokens were dated 1965. After a few years, Ike dollars (without silver) became available and most places used those in addition to their own tokens. In 1979, dated dollar tokens were again made beginning the 2nd period of legal dollar tokens in Nevada. I believe private casino tokens are still legal in Nevada as Golden Nugget made a dollar token (undated) as recently as 2013.
