Wonderful, gentle man, Always a pleasure to talk to. Loved collecting, especially fellow collectors. As Andy pointed out, he collected chess sets. He had one of the best collections in the world. I was on a group tour in Italy about 8 years ago and met a guy who collected chess sets and of course knew Doc. He spoke so very highly of him.
