So Basically you want to enable a daddy warbucks, or group to personally "fund/buy" and gain control of the BOD by implementing an arbitrary fee for a seat?
Sounds Goofy to me and will not be any "major financial help" to the club unless said fees are very high? and/or the "board membership" swells to a very high number to "raise more cash" derived from selling seats. The later would cause more instability - in any situation where a like consensus is desired?
