I am not entirely sure I read this correctly, but did you say board members should pay board dues? I can not imagine I read this correctly. I served on the BOD of our county's Local Community Mental Health Center and received a stipend for each monthly meeting. It was a travel stipend but far exceeded the cost of travel. I had no idea of this when asked by my House Representative to serve. I also served voluntarily on 3 different non-profit BOD as well. Surely you are not suggesting board members pay to serve on the BOD. My apologies if I read incorrectly or misinterpreted what you said.
