I did get a copy of our bylaws. We are not ready to do grant writing until we organize for it. I mentioned this a couple weeks ago.
The major problem is that 90% of our potential funding would likely come from Las Vegas, Nevada. We need to move our 501c3 to NV. I was told
by the board that we were advised by someone… and they said they wouldn't try and move it. I want a second opinion on that…
We need to move it. It is not about respecting the founders zip code, it is about what is best for the organization and it's mission.
We bring a lot of money to LV. We need to get it back from their cultural institutions who fund 501c3 organizations.
If the MOGH uses the Club's 501c3 it has the same issue (((New Jersey))) It will be impossible to get Jersey Cultural funders to fund
exhibitions in NV.
I'm happy to get the ball rolling with grant writing, that is why I asked for the paperwork, but... for us it will need to be part of a clearly defined plan. There are reports to do when you are grant writing, there is a lot of items that need to be organized the grants have to be crafted to suit their purpose.
At this point, I don't think it is smart to start our efforts out of NJ.
Las Vegas is the key to us raising money.
