Shown below is an El Cortez - Zig-Zag Mold chip that may be from Reno Nevada. As far as I know there was an El Cortez Hotel in Reno and inside the hotel was the Trocadero Casino. The chips listed in TCR and the Chip Guide from the Trocadero are Zig-Zag and Rectangle Mold chips. Since this El Cortez chip is a Zig-Zag Mold - could it have been from the El Cortez in Reno ???

Or could it be from the El Cortez I Vegas ?? The script writing is similar to some of the El Cortez chips but as far as I know no Zig-Zag Mold chips were used at the El Cortez in Vegas.

Unfortunately this possibly historic chip is broken into 4 pieces. The chip is the same on both sides. I picked up this broken chip back in the mid 1990s and it has been laying quietly in my collection ever since. Let's get it out of the shadows and into the Limelight !!!!
