I'm using Windows 10 (Chrome browser) and this is what works for me.

1. Depending on how you have Windows 10 "Personalized" click on either the Windows 10 icon or the "Search" icon:

2. Type in "Character Map" in the search box and hit Enter:

3. Character Map will pop up:

4. Click which character you want, click Select, click Copy and paste where you want it.
